French Classes

French classes here are primarily to give students an opportunity when not in France, to enhance their language skills, and to learn a little more about French culture with a variety of topics.

Speaking, listening, reading and writing are all used in our lessons. These are for enjoyment, where students feel free to have fun, and help each other, while taking part in many different types of activities.

We read stories, poems, articles of interest from gardening to art, to the environment and landscapes for example. Dialogues as well from textbooks.

We listen to many topics in French, and to each other of course.

We use a variety of sources to stimulate writing, from tex books to simple novels to personal histories of interest to others.

We speak a lot of the time about daily life, how to do things in France, and all the above activities initiate discussions and lots of laughter.

In the Thursday class a range of abilities are taught. When we are in France, we must do our best to be understood. In class we can all help each other to communicate effectively and enjoy it too.

If you would like to attend my French class, get in touch via the contact page, and I will get back to you.
